While obtaining a PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from Cornell University, Dr. Luis Estevez developed a novel nanocomposite materials platform based on porous carbon, called hierarchically porous carbons or HPCs.

In addition to over a decade's experience designing multi-level tunable porosity in carbon-based materials, Dr. Estevez has managed various science and engineering projects such as spearheading a million dollar, 3-year DOE project to optimize his technology.

Ms. Lauren Rose graduated from the University of Dayton with a major in Chemical Engineering and minor in Bioengineering. During this time she studied plant design and control, plant optimization, and sustainability. Ms. Brown's interests align harmoniously with AIMM's mission to make a real-world impact with creative innovation. As Chief Engineer, her duties include monitoring current production, managing technical projects, navigating scale up operations, and designing future filter/plant flow.
